Hello! I turned on my phone and there was a white flickering bar at the bottom of my screen. As the day went, I can't get the screen turned on except by plugging it in & the screen turns on. I restarted it, but it did not resolve the issue. I tried to force restart, but it did not respond.
Do you have a theme or any third party launchers on your device?
I would recommend testing your device in safe mode. If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature. In Safe Mode, your phone won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identity and remove the app that may be causing the problem. Give this link a try: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
Next, I would recommend wiping the cache partition on your device. The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly. Give these steps a try:
I am not sure what you mean by theme or thrid party launchers are.
I cannot get the phone into safe mode as the phone goes completely black until it is fully rebooted again, and plugged into a power source. I can restart or force restart, but that is all the further I can get with it.
Thank you for your help!
Thank you for confirming. The phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. I would be happy to look into your options. Please send a private message with the model code and the IMEI number. (You may need to obtain the IMEI number from your service provider since you do not have access to the phone settings.) http://bit.ly/2XERsky
