s10 white line and blank display

Woke up and my screen doesnt turn on after i press it. Theres a white line at the bottom of me screen. I just got the phone. How can it already have issues?

Sorry to hear you are going through this can you try a hard reset to see if it powers your device back on instructions below 

 

Samsung Galaxy S10 - Factory Data Reset (Powered Off)

Caution Caution:

  • If the device is responsive and can be powered on, the preferred reset method should be performed.
  • For devices with Android Device Protection turned on, it's imperative Google™ sign-in credentials are known prior to completing a factory reset with the device powered off. If credentials are unknown:
    • Attempt to sign in with any Google account previously used on the device.
    • Reset the password.
  • Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
    • Contacts
    • Email accounts
    • System and app data
    • App settings
    • Downloaded apps
    • Media (Music, pictures and videos, etc.)

 

Note Notes:

  • If a pattern, PIN, etc. is or has ever been set up on the device, Google account sign in is required during initial setup.
  • Wi-Fi Calling settings don't transfer after switching devices and/or performing a factory data reset. You need to enable W-Fi Calling manually if you want to use it.

 

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold the Volume up and Bixby buttons.

  3. While continuing to hold Volume up and Bixby, press and hold the Power button until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears then release all buttons.
    Note This action boots the device to the Android Recovery screen.
    Note Allow up to 15 seconds for the recovery screen to appear.

  4. From the Android Recovery screen, select Wipe data/factory reset.
    Note Utilize the volume buttons to cycle through the available options and the power button to select.

  5. Select Yes.
    Note Allow several seconds for the factory data reset to complete.

  6. Select Reboot system now.
    Note Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
    Note If applicable, set up your device.

Based on the information you've provided the panel is defective, or has sustained damage. The next step is to visit a Samsung repair center, or due to the covid 19 virus contact them via phone (1 800 Samsung), online, or Samsung Members/Shop. Additionally, Ubreak can diagnose phones in regions where they operate; UB is partnered with Samsung US.

For this type of issue you need to have your device inspected . Your screen might need replacement here is the link so you can get your device repaired : https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/
