Since the update everytime my phone gets a text the whole screen lights up and not the edge lighting.. I only want the edge lighting.. helpppp

go to settings-> notifications-> select brief->tap on brief pop up settings->then tap on edge lighting style.

I've done that.. and the whole screen still lights up and there is no edge lighting at all..
do I need to turn off or on thr or that talks about when the screen is off

mine is on.. i have it set on the glitter option and it still just turns my whole screen on instead of the edge light

have you pressed on done after selecting your edge effect? mine shows a brief pop up with the glow effect edge lighting set and edges light up.

hmm.... have you tried going to recovery and clearing cache?

no..I turned it off and turned it back on and I think it's working now
