text messages incorrect order?

For some reason, some of my messages in my text thread are out of order. Instead of the last message received being on the bottom of the text thread for some reason it'll move it above my last sent message.

So if I text someone at 6:00pm and they text me back at 6:05pm it will show their message above my 6:00pm message.

Re: text messages incorrect order?

I have had that happen in the past and it fixed itself.

I'm having that problem too! I've noticed it started after my phone last updated. AT&T user here.

Re: text messages incorrect order?

It's now 10/17. Has this issue fixed itself for any of you?

I've had this problem for about a month.

I also use AT&T

I've also tried every combination of toggling the automatic date and time with restarting my phone, etc. And I've cleared caches and even deleted the thread all together thinking perhaps it was too long

Re: text messages incorrect order?

If anyone has found an answer please post it.

I have Galaxy S10

AT&T

And I have done the following:

1. Checked that time is on auto, even turned off back on rebooted etc

2. Reset my networks, several times

3. Cleared the cache

4. Wiped Cache partition

5. Tested in safe mode

6. Did hard reset---

7. Went to AT&T brick and mortar, they changed out sim card as hail mary--they had no idea

8. Called AT&T support, after him first telling me I would have to pay off the phone and just buy a new one (Is he kidding me??) I informed him I read he could pull me off the network and put me back on (worked for someone who posted a msg) so he did that and it still did not work. At which point he said it was a Samsung issue, not AT&T.

This has been going on for a few weeks and it is getting extremely frustrating and almost impossible to carry on a normal conversation in text messaging.

Thanks
