On my Galaxy S20 FE, I have auto restart enabled to restart at 3am every day.

How do you know that the device has actually restarted?

When you do a manual restart, the uptime status is reset, but when I check uptime status each day after an auto restart was to take place, the uptime status is not reset.

Any ideas?

Yes, I now see that any notifications are in the status bar, they go away with an auto restart. Thank you!

If you use notifications function on your phone, leave a few unread and not deleted and see if they are still there or disappear the next day after restart. I am sometimes too lazy to delete all my read ones and leave if up to the reset to clean it up. 🙃

if you have any biometrics enabled, it will ask for the screen lock type ONLY after every restart

that's how i usually know if it restarted or not

I did have biometrics enabled to get the lock screen notice after each auto restart, but I recently disabled it and didn't know if the device actually restarted until @ToyYodaGuy mentioned the status bar notifications go away after an auto restart. Thanks!
