Galaxy S20Have you confirmed the chrome app is up to date?
What android version are you currently running?
Have you attempted to wipe the system cache partition on your device?
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight the Wipe cache partition.
- Press Bixby / Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
- When the process is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.

Galaxy S20I checked the play store and it's up to date.
I'm using Android 11.
I've periodically cleaned the cache of the chrome App itself (which has helped) but I'll try to clean the cache partition as well (I do that periodically).
Hopefully it all works that is for the help!

Galaxy S20I've followed these same steps, and, although my total battery life has definitely improved, Chrome is still using the most of my battery percentage by far especially considering the active and background minutes are very low.
I also noticed this issue recently since installing Android 11.0.
