Galaxy S20Hello @thatonedudejay
Id gladly share some tips on how to properly clean your device:
•
Before cleaning, power down your Galaxy smartphone, remove any case or cover, and unplug any
cables or accessories.
•
Use a soft, lint free, microfiber cloth such as a camera lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe the exterior
surface of the phone.
•
Avoid getting moisture in any opening and do not apply liquid solutions directly to your phone.
If
necessary, dampen the corner of your cloth with a small amount of distilled water or disinfectant,
such as a hypochlorous acid based (50 80ppm) or alcohol based (more than 70% ethanol or isopropyl
alcohol) product, and gently wipe the front and back of your phone without applying too much
pressure. Avoid excessive wiping.
•
Do not use compressed air, and do not apply or spray bleaches or liquid solutions directly on your
phone.
•
This cleaning recommendation is only intended for the glass, ceramic and metal surfaces of your
phone; it is not recommended for soft accessories, i.e. those that are made of leather, rubber or plastic.
*Definitely do not "rinse" your device as you may damage the hardware.
Hope this was helpful!

Galaxy S20What do you mean by rinse the phone? Like with water lol? You can get whips or cleaning spray with a non scratch clothes for electrics most places even Dollar tree here in Oregon (look on line). So I would look into that instead of risking your phone with a Clorox or Lysol whip.

Galaxy S20I would use disinfecting wipes to clean the phone, just be careful using them around the charging port area as it can cause major corrosion on the port. And after you use it, you can dry it with a soft cloth all over the phone

Galaxy S20i wipe down my s20+ twice a day with clorox disposable hand wipes. once in the morning and again in the early evening and just let the phone air dry for about 5 minutes and then take a microfiber cloth and wipe away the few remaining streaks. if you're referring to rinsing your phone with water after any kind of cleaning or for any reason at all, i would strongly discourage it. if you're using a disinfectant spray cleaner just wipe the phone dry with a soft hand towel after spraying on the cleaning agent. hope this helps.

Galaxy S20Thanks for all the replies/tips everyone, all of the advice was extremely reassuring i was terrified at the thought of my s20 being damaged somehow with the alcohol based clorox wipes. And when I said "rinse" my phone i meant washing off the phone with water after wiping it down with the disinfecring wipes lol (a reply to one of the comments) thanks everyone!
