Dots/contacts

I've got some contacts on my phone in my messages app log page with a dot alongside the name but even though its similar to the "active now" dot on fb messenger these dots on my device stay with the contact even when not active. Anyone know what these dots represent and how do I remove them

i think they represent whether they are RCS capable (chat feature)
