Dual phone icons

After a recent update, my dial screen now shows two phone icons. Can someone tell me what the second one does? I haven't been able to see a difference.

I lost a whole lot of my contacts after last update. how can I recover them all? pls advise. thx.

I believe it's part of the REAL TIME TEXT feature. Allowing you to text with the person while in the middle of talking to them. It's a feature I dont fully get the purpose of but I think it's because I've never had a situation where it calls for it. Should be able to turn it off in your phone settings

Perfect! I'm still not sure I'll ever use that feature, but good to know it's there and can also be disabled.
