Hi! I have the issue with charger only working one way in the port. I have numerous different cords, 8 roughly, some genuine Samsung and other brands all with the same outcome. I have tried cleaning the port to no avail. My question is how is the problem physically possible if the connections are mirrored on the cable and port? If it charges one way because say 1 pin is no good on the top, wouldn't flipping the cord still have that same connection working on the bottom?

@MOX32R I would suspect an issue with the charging port on your phone. Although the port is symmetrical, It could be that a connection on one side is damaged.

You could take it to Bestbuy or ubreakifix for evaluation.

Is one side of the cable USB - A and the other is USB - C?

Yeh I had come to the conclusion it could be a connection in the phone but still isn't the layout on the cord symmetrical also? If it charged the one good connection one way wouldn't flipping it still contact the good connection and charge?
