It might be because the version of Android you're on doesn't support the theme fully. So the theme developer may have to update the theme. Maybe try a different theme and see if the issue is still there. If not, then the other/previous theme needs to be updated. Just a thought from a fellow theme lover who likes everything to match.
Yes I hate that too. Also that some of my favorite themes were never updated even though I paid for them. So now those themes are a waste of space and money. Not fair to the customer that we pay for a theme and the developer decides whether or not they want to update it so that our money wasn't wasted.
