Missing Pop Up Icons

My new S20 phone had little app icons pop up on top (for emails, text messages, etc) regardless of what I was doing at the time. I really like that feature, but lately they stopped appearing. No doubt I did something wrong while exploring my phone. Any ideas?

Try settings, notifications, advanced, floating notifications, and see if smart view is turned on and the apps you want are selected.
