I've only seen it pop up maybe 3 times but I've never seen it before to know what it actually is and I can't find anything about it. Maybe someone here will know and know why it's making random appearances on my phone.

It's a cellular network extender nearby. A neighbor / business has one installed and it allows anyone with that specific service provider to connect to it for better signal.

It means your signal is being boosted by a repeater.

Yea, it's kind of like a booster that has wireless signals that make your wifi network range a lot more farther on more floors. It's kind of like the "NETGEAR Orbi"

I'm assuming it would have to then be something specifically meant for my network or my devices to connect to, right? My only quarrel with that is all times I've seen this icon appear is when im in my car going somewhere.. 🤔 and my car/phone won't even allow me to connect Android Auto because the cars manufacture app isn't compatible with my phone or something like that

It doesn't look like the booster icons that I've seen, though I'm not entirely sure what it is exactly. Do you have any smart home apps set up?

None. I had SmartThings app set up for my Galaxy Active2 watch but it was stolen back in July. So I deleted/disabled everything for SmartThings.

I finally found something on it, I just wasn't google-ing it right at first, lol.
For anyone else that might have been wondering the same thing:

It means your being routed through a Verizon Network Extender or there might be one close by installed (like from a close neighbor or business). Only question I have about that is, is it something that just anybody can connect to or when installed only meant to connect those within a certain network/dns parameter? Doesn't seem like a secure thing to have if it's just an open extender for just anyone to connect and use..
