Since 2 months ago I keep getting gray and white notifications that cover the lower part of my keyboard.

They stay on for a long time and no matter what I do, they will not disappear until another appears or they time out.

The one I get the most is when I switch wireless network or if i change the wallpaper.

Any suggestions how to get rid of these notifications?

Thank you

Mario

Hello,

Are you receiving an error message when this happens?

Have you attempted to wipe the cache partition on the device?

- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
- Press Bixby / Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
- When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.

How do I attach a screenshot on this forum?

I don't see an attachment button.

I tried pasting with the clipboard but it didn't work.

Thank you

Hey,

@usamartinez

There is an option in Accessibility, Advanced settings, Time to take action, that let's us control how long those grey and white notification stay visible. The timeout options are default or 10 seconds - 30 seconds and 1 minute - 2 minutes.

If it's a third party app sending the notification it might be a good idea to contact them and let them know about the issue your having with their app.

Best regards,

CLF

Thank you for your reply

This is the solution to my issue.

The solution should probably be a permanent post.

I usually find the answers by myself, however, this was extremely difficult.

I tried everything and couldn't stop the notifications.

Thank you again

You are very welcome. I'm glad that helped. It's really hidden away in there. Thanks for letting me know the results.

Take care,
