As it says in the title, I have a rattling sound coming out of the camera when NOT in use. I emphasize not because I've read some other posts and they hear it when in use. When I turn the camera on and have it on video it does not rattle. Anyone else having this issue?
I'm having the same issue on mine it just started to day when I use the camera it doesn't rattle but when I don't I'm getting a rattle noise but I also notice when I'm using sapce zoom with it all the way zoomed in it jumps and moves around all by it's self..are you having that problem when you use space zoom?
It's not an issues guys. Search these forums for more info. There are moving parts and when the camera is not in use, they can move around. It's not harmful to the phone.
All due respect here, but a $1400.00 dollar phone should not rattle and Samsung knows this. Makes me very concerned about upgrading my Note 10+ wondering if the same thing will occur on that phone too. Considering going to the dark side with iPhone 12 due to iOS 14 allowing home screen customization. Their phons don't rattle. (as of yet)
The rattling that your hearing is nothing to be alarmed about. It is the camera sensor. It moves freely because of the optical image stabilization. You'll notice that once you open up the camera app the rattling stops because the stabilization is now being put to work. Hope this helps.

"Their phons don't rattle. (as of yet)"
They don't do a lot of other things... To be serious for a minute though, why the default "other option" is always iPhone? Are there no other Android manufacturers? Well there are, and there are still many better option than the iPhone. And since you're waiting for a Note 20, why are you already upset about it? Let's wait for the phone to come out and see, the camera unit will be updated, and there might not be the same effect. We'll find out very soon.
