Read notification is broken after latest security update

After the last security update for tmobile phones the read notification in text messaging is broken. And seing other person is typing no longer works!

Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports

This started after the update was applied. Look at the date in this image from the 21st to the 22nd and read is gone
