Past few days I've noticed a couple of my apps aren't working/loading while on WiFi. (I don't have data plan, always on wifi at home) my Instagram & Reddit app work but X (twitter), Playstation App, MLB App, HBO Max, Paramount+ App all fail to load, just constant buffering. I have done a bunch of things to try a fix this
-Cleared app Cache/Data
-uninstall/re-install app
-forget WiFi network then connect back
-restart router & phone
-cleared cache partition AND repair apps in Recovery Mode
Last option is factory reset but don't want to do this as I don't think it will make much of a difference. My phone and Google Play Services are all up to date as well. Any help is appreciated....
Try this, Settings>General management>Reset>Reset network settings. This clears all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections/settings and you will have to reestablish them. Might work.
After doing that, a few things loaded in & when I refresh the newer posts are grayed out and on my Playstation app, few things loaded and showed up but images didn't, went to check my library of only 1 game fully appears
Do you have any sort of DNS set, or 3rd party adblocker enabled? Also, have your spoken with your Internet provider about this yet, just to ensure it's not some strange problem on their end?
Phone says PrivateDNS is on "Automatic", no Ad blockers on & haven't spoken with Spectrum yet. We did get a new router about a month ago & everything has been fine since. Has to be something with my phone because when I checked the MLB app on my father's phone it loaded instantly, mine just buffers.
I even had the random thought that my phone may have some malware or something so I downloaded McAfee Security for Tmobile and tried to run it, but i get the blue loading circle then says failed to load
Try installing Malwarebytes instead and run a scan. Make sure "deep scanning" is enabled and that all permissions are on in the app's settings. It might be malware, but I somewhat doubt it.
