Does every single Galaxy s20 Ultra get the crack in the back of the camera? Will a camera protector help it from doing so? I use an otterbox defender series pro case and so far, so good. I'm getting my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen.

My phone is brand new got it yesterday.. so been extra careful and already have a hairline fracture in the camera glass. It goes from the smallest cut out circle to the bottom corner. I have not dropped it.
This forum is for the US-based Samsung users, but for the sake of sharing the info Samsung Russia have declined warranty repairs for my phone bought in Russia. The repair bill was around $300.
Same exact thing as everyone else, I was driving in my truck and heard a pop from my pocket. Pull out the phone and the camera glass is completely shattered. Verizon says call Samsung and Samsung says it's everyone else's fault...
Im in Au canberra bought my s20 2 week ago together with samsung case flip cover . Later did i knew there is a crack thin hair line on my camera glass. What would be the best thing to do? Thanks
Same thing happened to my phone yesterday. I did not drop it and it was in my pocket. If samsung doesn't cover this I intend to file a better business bureau complaint. I pre-ordered my phone so I'm not sure if this is an issue just effecting the early shipment of phones.
So after an hour on the phone with Samsung they offered a 1-time waived fee but I need to ship it to Samsung. The ubreakitifixit stores will not honor the waived charge. My only concern is that there are reports of people fixing the glass just to have the issue occur again. We'll see.
That's my concern with just fixing the glass. I have no idea if its just going to happen again. This could amount to hundred dollar repairs every couple of months. That's just absurd for a $1400+ phone.
Yeah, I'm kicking myself in the butt for pre-ordering it- which is something I never do for this exact reason. I just wanted the freebies and now all I have is a $1400+ phone with an unusable camera.
UK based same issue, a hairline crack within a week without dropping it and the phone being in a high-quality case. Samsung has advised that they can pick up for free and the engineer will determine whether or not it's covered by the warranty. I don't really want to send off though if they are just going to say it's not covered and then charged me a stupid amount to replace the whole camera. Has anyone sent it off and had it covered by the warranty? If not, how much do you think a repair would cost?
