I am a staunch supporter for Samsung Phones. Every year, begining with Model Galaxy S7 to Galaxy S20 I have been upgrading my phone to latest Samsung Galaxy model.

I am sorry to write this, Samsung did very bad work with respect to Samsung S20.

1. I am having MIC issues frequently .... It works fine sometimes and sometimes the other person on the call can't hear me.

2. Screen Hangs suddenly and becomes unresponsive

I have tried contacting Samsung Support Team and they suggested to restart the phone. Now the problem became more frequent and annoying.

I request the Samsung Support to help me in fixing the issues.

Unfortunately, aside from a factory reset the next suggestion I have would be to have your phone evaluated by a certified technician. You may have a couple of different options for this depending on your location. You can contact your carrier to see if they have any availabilities for an evaluation, if there is a local uBreakiFix location close to you you can contact them to see what options they currently have for evaluations, if you do not have either of those options available to you I'd be more than happy to set you up with a service ticket to ship your device into the Samsung service center for a technician there to evaluate your device.

If you would like a service ticket set up for your device please send me or another moderator a private message with the full model code and IMEI number for your phone.

The ONLY app I can use with 100% mic success is the stock camera app taking video.  Don't even get me started on whatsapp voice notes / calling.

Hello!

Have you been able to test your device while in safe mode to see if your symptoms persist? You can do so by following these steps.

Press and hold the power button until power off, restart, and emergency mode show on the screen

Tap and hold on the power off option until it changes to safe mode, then tap on safe mode

The phone will then reboot into safe mode. You will be able to check that it is by a grey transparent box in the bottom left of the screen that says safe mode.

I would also recommend wiping the cache partition of the device. You can do so by following these steps.

Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby/Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release the keys.
An 'Installing system update' message may show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.

Let me know if this helped!

I just saw your reply.  Thank you.

Yes I've tried all the above.

The only thing I can test in safe mode is the default apps which don't have a problem in normal mode.  I can't even test Samsung's voice recorder because it's not a default app.

i've also cleared the cache partition multiple times.  I really don't want to go for a factory reset "just to try it".

Any other suggestion?
