I bought a samsung s20 phone last month. Its my very first android! As i switched from iphone. So far i love it, love the customisable stuff etc. However, by the salesman i was promised a top notch camera which would fit my vlogging needs. However, as it turns out, the camera on this phone did NOT meet my expectations. Overall the camera is good, vut in low light/evening indoor light the camera for filming is even worse than my old iphone 6!! How can it be that my old iphone recorded better videos than this one ? Also in daylight, the selfie camera also have a hard time stabilising and focusing. I must say I'm rather disappointed over my switch to samsung. They kept telling me at the store it's because it needs a camera update. But ive had this for over a month and it's still the same problem regardless of the system updates i've installed. I hope you can somehow help. Because this, as it is, is unusable for me. I've attached example videos . It looks not at all as sharp as promised and also it looks like there's a lot of noise and focus issues. https://streamable.com/hua3tz
Check you are running the latest firmware for your model S20 against releases here
Samsung are still pushing out updates to solve some camera issues so I'd hold on for now, plus for vlogging you'd generally use a bright light at night, or do it through the day unless you are reviewing low light capabilities of the device surely?
Yes, I got the latest firmware installed, my boyfriend also had a look through ir all to see if it couls be somethung with the settings etc. But hasn't worked so far. I'll still be holding on. I just needed to be sure this camera specifically isn't broken. Otherwise if it might be a factory issue, then maybe i need to take it back to my local store to have it looked at?
Most of my vlogging is 'in the moment' often via instagram stories. Since I vlog qbout mental health, a lot of the issues I wanna talk about arise during evening/night. I don't do it proffesionally, I just enjoy a more relaxed way of dkung it, with no setup of lights etc to do it. Of course that being said, I was hoping for better video quality when I bought it which he alao guaranteed it would be. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's just an update issue and that it would be fixed soon! Thanks for answering.
