read receipt, delivery receipt, and typing status

My husband and I have both updated our Samsung s20 ultra in the last few days. Since update we no longer can see our read, delivery receipts and typing status. We have checked both phones to ensure they are turned on. Still not functioning. How can this be resolved?

I want to turn off read receipts I do not want the receiver to know when I read the text the receiver sent to me.... Galaxy Note 10 plus

try go into samsung message app

3 dots - setting - chat setting - and turn off send read receipt, or Rich Communication setting if you see it
