so here's the thing past weds after i got home and i always default my albums in my galley when i open up somehow it was on photos i notice something odd at the top i saw in red message saying Your SD card has corrupt files or other issues. You may want to back it up or replace it soon." The only option it gives me is "Not now
i google this and i read on google forms that 1 person had this issue and they restart phone and it went away which did
somehow around 4:20 in early morning sat after taking off charger i did saw same message and restart
now my old sd card died right after i upgrade from s7 and put it in s20 phone apparently it got encrypted and started to unmount few times so back on july 6th 2021 they couldn't save card and had to get new scandisk
unlike last time and it's warning me i did yesterday copy some pics music and stuff from computer to desktop in case i do have to get sd card unless they can repair it
i notice however when i was looking at my albums that for some odd reason wasn't showing any pics folders from album under galley and i found out that at top when i click on select albums i had them uncheckmark i recheck mark it on the dot afterwards and now showing
my question is and i'm doing an experiment next time i go into galley and click on pictures if i will see that message at top sd card corrupt or not and i'm just a wondering do you think reason why i saw that happen weds came back home and early sat after got phone off charger that because i had those folders not showing in albums when i click on pictures that message triggers because couldn't see it albums but now they are now showing i'm ok
meaning if 1 day i click on pictures in gallery i may not see that message come up my sd card still after 4 years no issues still not corrupted ya thoughts?
i hope somebody will reply back asap again i'm not positive if this is reason or not i can't go phone repair place it being labor day they prob closed prob have to go over there tues or tues if i see message come up that is am not sure repair sd card if corrupt somehow or have to get new sd card on phone
smg986u so far when i go into galley click on pictures i don't see message at top again am not sure because i had those folders/albums sd card hidden in albums or what like i said were uncheck for some odd reason but i recheck mark sat and now showing the albums sd card plus fact that i got default always on albums not photo's when i open up gallery
so again still testing this out if what i saw back on 30th when came back up when i click photo's and saw message and when i put phone off charger early sat morning and restart is because i had those album folders uncheck aka hidden and is that it couldn't find and now that they are showing after i checkmark in albums<-yes i can confirm when i connect phone to computer go sd card i still see those folders i made with pics if that is reason why at the time and i didn't even know i had uncheckmark in albums not to show
then i guess i'm good and sd card had 4 years strong eh i'll let you know few days if i see it come up next time click on pictures in galley
do you think that might been reason again i didn't even know had those album folders uncheckmark because they were always checkmark and shown when open up gallery even when i had to get that new sd card put in back july 6th 2021 again perhaps 1 of those updates had them uncheckmark or i accidently made not show in album am not sure until i look at albums and back at phone almost thought that those folders from sd card were gone but weren't
That could definitely be a possibility. Have you attempted any other troubleshooting steps? Best Buy's Geeksquad or uBreakiFix would have more information for you, and should be able to offer you a solution in person. I'd have them evaluate what went wrong here.
so here's what did tonight at cell phone 1st off i could had left sd card to them pay 12 bucks for them to like clean reformat basically wipe out sd card or go ahead get new sd card
i went on ahead gotten new sd now i did upgraded 16 to a 32 didn't think i needed a 64 sd card and i didn't want to pay like 38 bucks
nonetheless they only had scandisk sd cards 16 or 64 now there was a 8.99 used sd card but didn't think that's good
so basically in a nutshell i went a different brand adta 32 gb guy told me alot of folks used paid in cash 18.65
i really didn't have to do much got home i forgot that there were already 2 a ringtone and a notification folder on new sd card so i just open up 2 folders on desktop copy songs from there to their folders
besides my music folder and those other folders from sd card i'm still not sure if i should still leave instagram folder internal storage or move them back to new sd card or not due to alot of space sd card guess i'm little afraid to if i do that if sd card get corrupt down road not sure want to do that or not and i did change my ringtones back to my ringtones
i just hope i made a wise decision getting a adta 32 gb sd card
