I can only get the alert when phone picked up feature to work with Samsung Messages - I know that that app is being phased out for Google Messages. I really want the alert when phone picked up feature to work with Google Messages. Why does it not work?
Try opening up your settings and then go to the advanced features menu and then go to motions and gestures and then turn on the Alert when your phone is picked up
The only other notification setting is for the screen flash or camera flash, and you can try Installing the Samsung Good lock application and then enable the Notistar application which allows you to fully customize your notifications, I use it and it's a complete Mangement Tool https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.goodlock
