THE LATEST Update caused my phone Galaxy S21 messed up many of my icons. Can’t make calls but can receive them. None of my games open up. No Facebook. On phone with Verizon for 2 1/2 hours. After following all of their suggestions. They recommended that I go to another town to have them delete the current update. Drove 50 miles to UBreakIFix to find out they cannot do that. They said to contact Samsung online which is what I am doing. I can open the calendar, my yahoo emails but not gmail. Now what??

@BB24 Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

I hate the new update. I don't get any notification on my watch. Its so annoying, I called Samsung and they said wait till the next update to have it fixed

If you called Samsung customer service, the service reps don't have any answers for you, so they will tell you to either go to a repair center or wait til the next update.

Do as the others have suggested and clear your phone cache (and your watch cache).  If that does not help your issues, then put in an error report and make sure your logs are included.  Do not send the error report until you try the cache clearing.

After calling my phone carrier and finding out they have been receiving non stop phone calls about the same thing. Called Samsung on 5 different occasions and after being on the phone for over a hour they said to mail the phone in and have them look it at. Yes, I cleared my cache out, that did nothing. Needless to say I did not send my watch in since I know this is occurring across the board with customers. I got more information and help from my phone provider then Samsung, they are useless!!!

As I said, phone support can't really help you, because they do not have access to your device logs, so their help would be limited.

put in an error/feedback report through the support tab in the Members App. and make sure you include your logs.

Customer service at Samsung transferred me to Tech Support. Which in the past they have been helpful. The last time I called they said it was the update that caused the glitches throughout many customers. Just have to wait till next update ugh

As I said, tech support on the phone does not have access to your logs, whereas sending an error report does.  With the developers having access to the logs, it will facilitate identifying the problem and accelerating a patch.
