Phone keeps losing connection with my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. When streaming music, it will just randomly quit playing. Sometimes on my vehicle's screen it will appear to be playing but with no sound. I thought it first then it might be my truck that has the issue, but then I noticed that it also does it on my Bluetooth earbuds but not as often. It's getting really annoying. Anyone else having this issue or know what might be going on or how to fix it?

This sounds like a setting in your music player. As an example if you use YouTube music you must have premium to allow music to continue to play with the screen off also you must give whatever music app you have the permissions to run in the background and right over the system to work hold down your music application click on the small little eye icon on the right go to permissions and allow all permissions also login to your music player app and allow it to run with the screen off and in the background this will fix your issue hopefully you already have the paid service that allows this.

I am WELL familiar with this issue as mine was doing it with my Baseball app. About 10 minutes in, BOOM it would show it was playing but would stop.
Here is what fixed it for me: Go to Settings > Apps > Select the app > go to Battery and turn off optimized. I think I had to set mine to "unrestricted". See if that helps.

When the issue is happening check to see if another Bluetooth device is connected if so disconnect it. Another option is to see if your phone accidentally connected with only call permission and not audio /music permission. You can open the Bluetooth menu go to the setting of the Bluetooth devices and make sure the toggle for audio is on (blue)

This just started happening to me too. I didn't notice my Bluetooth is not connecting to anything and it seems the most recent time it was connected was this past Saturday, 6 days ago. I have tried to unpair items and pair them again with no luck.
