Camera Focus Issues (IS issues) with the 3x

S21U New device through Samsung as part of the initial pre-order - having issues with the 3x lens focusing. This appears to be some issue with the image stabilization as the lens will focus but continues to shutter.

This appears regardless of lighting or focal length for both still imaging as well as video through the 3x. This isn't present with any of the other imaging or video combinations or lens options. Not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. Admittedly didn't test or notice prior to the Feb updates so not sure if it's related. 

Anyone else having issues? Device fully up to date. Looking to contact Samsung to log as an issue but not finding an easy way to do so posting this here.

If you have tried the various troubleshooting steps listed here, including the factory reset, and have had no changes then repairs would be recommended in order to have the device evaluated. You can visit your local uBreakiFix for walk-in repair options, or additionally Samsung offers ship-in repair options. It is important to note, that the uBreakiFix locations are a very general repair option that can lead to an additional repair via the ship-in process. at this point I love and he the s21+ and ultra. the plus I had to ditch as the zoom produced such terrible images. the ultra zoom is magnificent but I keep running into issues where it just won't trigger the shutter. I try everything. focus and then click, but no click. tap tap said the raven, "nevermore".

No issues with focus lock outside the 3x. Images look great on the native lenses and assuming I can catch the 3x when it's locked - even images off it are great. Alas - assuming I can get in touch with Samsung, this ones gonna have to go back. Unfortunately - I think the 512gb Ultra is out of stock and seeing as I sent my pristine 11 Pro Max in on trade, I'll likely be deviceless so going to need to determine how we handle this warranty claim......

I don't have that issue with the 3x.  When you say Stutter, is the image jumping around?

Video above details what I think is an image stabilization issue on the camera. Lens just doesn't respond properly.

Oh wow, that's bad.  Have you tried it in Safe Mode or performed a Factory Reset without restoring your backup?  If this doesn't work then it will probably need to go back.

No reset yet or booting into safe mode but that's next unfortunately. I'd love to see it clear up but doesn't feel like that's going to be the case.
