Cleaner app

Just got some kind of warning on my phone about installing a cleaner app update due to Samsung hacks, looks official but also suspicious did anyone else get this???? Is it garbage or real?

You can stop seeing those pop up type things from ever showing up in the first place by simply turning off your browsers ability to allow web sites to "Java script" your browser.

How do I do that?

Chrome app->3 dot menu->Settings->Advanced->Javascript

This will also affect the "good sites" so your experience on those sites may change.

I only use chrome sometimes to browse, so this is a safe thing to do?

Took a little digging but I found java script and turned it off, is that what you meant?

Update, I've tried everything suggested here add I keep getting the same pop up asking me to update a cleaner app and I've also noticed that Everytime I wake up my screen after it's been on the lock screen or the always on display it immediately opens up to a Google display

I saw the same thing. Should I download the cleaner app from Google play to clean up my phone? Is this legit or not?

I couldn't tell if it was legit but I did download a maleware app that was suggested below and it found one maleware and it's been 24 hrs and haven't seen anything else.
