Sincethe latest update, my phone will not connect to the Bluetooth I my car. I've unpaired and re-paired. Turn off.
The radio and turn it back on. When I turn the radio off and turn it back on it connects but as soon as I turn my car off it disconnects , it will not connect again. My phone carrier says it's because I need a new phone, that the most recent updates make my phone not compatible with my car. Any ideas??

I think your carrier is wrong on this--sounds like an answer they would give when they don't have an answer.  Bluetooth is Bluetooth.  Even if an update created a higher version of Bluetooth, it would be backward compatible.  What make and year is your car?  Did you ever pair other devices with the car?  You might want to erase all the Bluetooth devices from your car and start from scratch and reset your phone's network settings - you will have to recreate all your wi-fi and Bluetooth connections.  Also, try clearing the cache partition from your phone, the update may have some left over junk that is preventing connections. If your phone connected to the car before, it should continue to be able to connect.

Or an answer when they want you to upgrade your phone and you don't need to. 2014 Altima. This is the only phone that is connected to my car. I have tried over and over and over again to clear the Bluetooth cache, and it will not let me do anything. The screen is gray. I will try the network settings. Thank you.

I meant to delete the phone's cache partition, not the BT cache.  It's actually a good practice to do this after every update completes. Try wiping the cache before resetting the network, it's less troublesome.

How to clear cache through Recovery Mode:

1. Power off your phone. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears

2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode.

3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight “Wipe Cache Partition.” Press power button to select this option . Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.

5 .When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it . The phone will reboot as normal.
