In the regular default Samsung s21 email program, I cannot figure out for the life of me how to create new folders in a pop email account. I googled it, and exhaustively played with the program I can't find any way to do so. I imagine if I switch to IMAP and create the folders on the server it would work, but I don't want to do that. I literally want to create folders directly in the app. Can anyone give me a little bump in the right direction?

Open the email app tap the 3 lines in the top right corner and scroll down and click All Folders then scroll to the bottom and click and new folderScreenshot_20230101_074439_Email_1000005121_1672577079.jpgScreenshot_20230101_074339_Email_1000005119_1672577019.jpg

Unfortunately the only two options that come up under any of my hamburger menus, is edit and sort by. I have searched for 15 minutes from every possible screen and there is no folders or all folders option. This is the default menu or rather the default email program so I'm not sure what's going on.

I am sorry to hear that, since the steps by @GaryB82 are correct. Have you checked to see if your email app is up to date? You can find out by searching for it in the Play Store.

I've just discovered the following: the instructions given work perfectly if I set the email account up as imap, but not pop3. I can promise there was no way to set up new email folders in the Samsung email app if your account to set up under POP 3. Perhaps is a workaround for this someone has figured out? There's about 100 times more reason to create folders if you have pop three versus imap, so it strikes me as a logical that there's no work around.

@hotwired I've been trying to solve this problem for hours and your advice to set the email account up as imap worked perfectly. I am so grateful that I found your solution. I was literally losing it!
