Delayed Notifications S21 Ultra

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing random delays in notifications.

I.E. I'm at home, no notifications come through on the phone (or text messages) and the moment I get off WiFi they come through en mass. It also happens with some cell towers, when I hit a new cell tower, notifications come through en mass. This seems to rule out the network but rather the software is the issue.

my old a20 did the same thing thing its a network issue not the phones

Never had this issue on my Pixel 4 XL nor does the notification delay happen on my Tab S7+ or Tab S7. Seems to point to software/phone.

Which text messaging app?

It doesn't matter, happens with Samsung Messages was well as Google Messages

I'm on Verizon and mine does the same thing. Apps like eBay, PayPal, Gmail ETC are all delayed. No notifications until I actually turn on the screen. My Note 20 Ultra did the same thing.

Some apps like Ring and Aqua Mail work perfect with instant notifications but most others don't.

I've tried everything, turning off adaptive notifications, setting the the app to allow backgrounds usage ETC with no luck. Anyone have any other ideas?

What your describing seems more like a Deep Sleep which is part of Android. With mine it's more the screen can be on, I can be using it and notifications suddenly arrive En Masse
