Does anyone have a legitimate reason on why USA S21 model doesn't support E-Sim?

I always wondered this,  because the whole world has it enabled except US? I hope it's a not a quarrel between Qualcom and Exynos variants. But, it would be so nice to not carry around multiple phones and just combine everything into 1 device.

Yes, I'm sure there will be more battery drain, but I have S21 Ultra + 16gb + 5000 mAh (SM-G998U1) model and it would be a great accessory to have. And I am not worried about battery life and I personally make this phone like 2 to 2.5 days before charging

I'm wondering if the code is there to enable it and it's just Software Locked (don't quote me, I could be totally wrong on this assumption).

I'm just wondering if there is a legitimate reason for this intended action? - not here to start drama, really just curious on this answer.
