Edge to edge

There used to be a setting in video player to increase your edge to edge size for videos I can no longer find that setting what happened to it

To be clear, are you asking about the Camera app or Gallery app ?

you should be able to tap on the icon on the bottom right to switch between modes to select "fit to screen"
