Fingerprint suddenly not working

My fingerprint all of sudden not working with my s21plus. Very frustrating

a few things, 1 do you have a screen protector ?. if yes go to touch sensitivity and make sure it's on. 2 erase your finger print and try another finger

yes screen protector and tried that. Read could be my hands are to dry. Sounds crazy but that's what they said

Yep, that will definitely do it. My hands get extremely dry during the winter. Applying some hand lotion or wetting your finger slightly usually works. 

When medical professionals do an ultrasound scan they typically apply gel to the area. Same concept with in screen fingerprint scanners. If your finger is too dry, the scanner can't properly read it.

some screen protector don't work with the finger print. delete your finger print and try registering it with free screen protector

I have two fingers registered (thumb, index) because sometimes the thumb doesn't always work

I also use Face Recognition ... fairly reliable

yeah but some apps can't use face recognition so wouldn't help in some cases

Yea, and that's why I can use facial, fingerprint, or PIN to unlock : )

I have face registered too but some apps like chase app you can't use face

so if you have dry hands fingerprint won't work. Mine were dry so came home and moisturized and worked instantly
