GMail and GCal Notifications not showing when the screen is locked / off / not-in-use.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Notifications for all other apps show up just fine.

./adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable

That fixed the problem.

Definitely switching to an iPhone. No end user should have to run adb commands for basic functionality.
