I have tried everything and searched everywhere I can think of and can not get my phone to notify me when I have new voicemail. I just recently found out I had 4 voicemail from almost a year ago that I never knew I had gotten. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you getting missed call notifications, but no voicemail notifications?  If you are not getting either, long press the icon on your phone app, tap the small, circled "i" on the upper right of the mini menu and then go to notifications and make sure notifications are enabled.  First, though, make sure notification categories are turned on.  Settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app.  When you go into the phone app settings, tap on notifications, then notification categories to make sure that both categories are enabled. They should be, because they cannot be turned off. However, if one of the categories is missing that may be why you are not getting notifications.  Who is your carrier?  There may be a visual voicemail app you can use that will notify you of voicemails.

You could get in the habit of either checking your voicemail once a day or after a missed call notification.  But, changing your greeting to ask people to text, as @mike42042071281 did, would work. One wouldn't normally regularly check their voicemails without being notified, but since you know, for whatever reasons, you are not getting voicemail notifications, this would seem like an obvious solution.

Also, voicemail is a carrier issue.  So there may be some disconnect going on where the voicemailbox is not notifying the system there is a VM in the box.  Try calling your carrier. You both should.

I have similar problems with my S21 Ultra. It Does Not show new VM notifications or messages.  I click on "refresh" vm but it comes back with a msg of "Something went wrong with the system. Contact Customer Support".

I have contacted Spectrum and Samsung Support and both tell me It Is The Other Guys Problem.  Neither wants to help.

The problem seems to have gotten worse after the OUI 7 Update, which I am not totally happy with.  It seems to be a Samsung Update Problem but they do not want to help.
