galaxy s21 ultra not seeing my 5Ghz Wireless AC SSID being broadcast? I've tried messing with changing the frequency channels but nothing. It can see other 5Ghz wifi connections just not the one to my Netgear X10 aka R9000 Router. Had no issues with other Samsung devices picking up this frequency such as my Galaxy Tablet S5E and my Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

I just received my S21 Ultra a couple days ago. I have Google Wifi in the house and I am having the same issues. Disconnects constantly (and driving me nuts). My security patch is Jan 1, 2021, but my kernel version is 998USQU1AUA3. ???  t-Mobile version.

@BrianPT

Not to nitpick, but the most expensive S21 Ultra 5g (512GB) is $1379 without trade in, not sure why you were asked to pay $2000 or even how rounding up nearly doubles the cost...

Regardless, this is definitely still a problem.  The S21 Ultra was specifically advertised as the one Samsung smartphone to support 160MHz (meanwhile the last few of their phones already supported it or allowed WiFi connections to networks broadcasting it), however, it DOES NOT WORK when I have 160MHz enabled on my router either.  I can literally only connect when I DISABLE 160MHz on my router.  The issue with this is that once I connect and switch 160MHz back on, I instantly disconnect and cannot detect my wireless network anymore.

This is yet another Samsung phone with a broken component/feature that they were advertising for.  Fantastic money waste and a further confirmation that perhaps I should never purchase another Samsung device moving forward... =(  That is, unless they eventually decide to give an actual explanation as to why their product doesn't meet some of their spoken standards (or discuss why certain features still won't work in specific situations).

*Edit* - Just have to update my post due to having never considered the fact that this is still a brand new phone for me, and so I'm not completely aware of how reliable the WiFi reception is quite yet.  But then again, I also have a router with a disturbingly disgusting range (a few hundred meters through walls, lol) and so I might have a good connection regardless.  I'll have to test it in other locations so that I can get an actual idea of how well this thing works with it's potentially limited 160MHz channel access.  And funnily enough, 160MHz has been available since wave 2 of 802.11ac (2016).  So hopefully we're not actually losing the network sharing benefits of 160MHz...

Yeah lol I just returned mine and went back to my Note 10 plus. Definitely not enough new bells and whistles for me to want to keep it. The battery life seemed worse than my note also. <edit> design I'll give you that but the Micro SD card slot removal, the gimmick rounded screen bezels, no charger, no headphones, is just a tough sell on top of having software and or hardware issues.

I have had my new S21 for a few days. I have noticed occasional drops or something glitchy when connected through WiFi. An app will not open or say something like this service not available or other type of error. It doesn't just happen at home but also when connected at the office.  If I disconnect from wifi the app will immediately work.  The home modem is relatively new and capable of gigabit speed.  It isn't one particular app but could be any random one.
Has anyone else experienced this. Since this phone has just came out wondering if there is a bug.

Can I ask who is your carrier? I was with T-Mobile and the same thing happened to me. If not T-Mobile your carrier might know what's wrong. Good luck

Yes it's T-Mobile. So customer service has a solution?

They don't, it's them. The 5G is taking over and they don't know how to fix it. I upgraded to the S21+ and left T-Mobile. Overcharge Att saved me 300. Food for thought 🤔
