Galaxy S21- Ugh! I constantly get blank screens when opening Google messages. Sometimes the app is just blank and other times its my group threads I also hate that new messages don't appear at the top. I have to scroll to find them. Can anyone help?

Galaxy S21I do often pin the most active and/or important chats to the top for easier access. Also, if you tap any of the text notification that may come up it will take you right to that chat. You can also sort your messages by 'unread' by hitting the spyglass icon on the main screen of the app.

Galaxy S21In order to pin a message to the top in Google Messages, you have to long press the message and tap the pin at the top of the screen. The last message you had activity in, whether sent or received will rise to the top of the list. New messages, if they should get pushed down, are identified as being in bold text and having a number to the right of it telling you how many new messages are in a chat. The search feature also has a one tap search for new messages, which will show all new, unread messages.

Galaxy S21Archiving has always existed in Google Messages, regardless of the version.
