I tried everything and Google messaging is still saying trying to verify phone number for 3 days

I had this same issue...for whatever reason it took nearly 2 weeks for my phone to verify S20 Ultra so as frustrating as it is I would say just be patient. Also there's been a couple of updates since mine finally connected so check for those also. I hope this helps and sorry I know how you feel

hello,

I know for the chat features to work, you have to make sure that Google's Carrier Services app is installed/updated on your phone as it's needed for Google messages.

can you share the screen shot?

i dont think you need to verify the number to use google message. it only ask if you want to set google message as a default messaging app
