Suddenly all my calls are going out as RTT. All my recent calls have the T next to them and in contacts all contacts have the T as a calling option.
I can make a regular call if I go to contacts and click the regular call button, but for some reason, the default right swipe always goes to RTT and I cannot stop it.
The only RTT settings are visible during calls and always visible, it is set to during calls, but there is not option to turn it off.
I don't know how it started, but a fried I somehow talked to in RTT, now has the same problem as all his contacts and calls are now RTT and he has no way to turn it off.
During a call I can use the menu to switch to normal call, but I have to do it every single time.
Remove Google Phone dialer. My friend had it as well and it seems that simply having it installed was enough to make all calls RTT. It does not have a setting to control this.
The Samsung dialer can place regular calls if I use the right button, but the default swipe is still RTT.
Once the Google dialer is gone everything works fine for me and my friend.
Still no OS setting to control RTT which is its own problem.
Try this before knocking it! At least the prices & styles! Love it I wouldn't turn it on to sny friend or family if the price and style is not up to par!..
I don't know what you mean. How does style connect to RTT? The feature itself does not actually work. It should transcribe text, but no text ever shows up despite seeing that it is picking up sound. I could not really hear the other side and no way to turn on speakerphone in the modes so seems completely useless to me.
I still have the issue, but if I look at the contact I can make a regular call. My friend on the other hand is forced into RTT on every call, even if the destination does not support it like regular land lines.
He contacted his support and they only suggest resetting the phone. I will try calling Samsung and see if they have any solutions.
