Galaxy S21

The Samsung Galaxy S21 remains a solid smartphone option in 2026, especially for users who want a premium experience without paying the high price of the latest flagship devices. It is powered by a strong processor that can still handle daily tasks such as browsing, social media, video streaming, and even moderate gaming without major issues. The phone features a vibrant display with a smooth refresh rate, making scrolling and watching content enjoyable.

Its camera system is another highlight, delivering sharp photos and reliable performance in different lighting conditions. The design also feels modern and premium, which adds to its overall appeal. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. The battery life is average by todayโ€™s standards, and since the device is a few years old, it may receive fewer software updates compared to newer models.

Even though your phone still may perform wonderfully for you it's no longer getting any Android or security updates meaning it is open to the world for hacking.

If it's free it's for me, but even a 5+ year old phone is too outdated due to security and system updates no longer coming in.

We had some real big ones closed up just recently so s24 ultra or newer only

Personally, I had a major issue with overheating on the S21 & S22 models that hasn't continued after the S23

True that, I almost forgot about my mother's s21 ultra overheating after an update and wouldn't go away.
