Issues w/ Crashing Apps

New Samsung Galaxy s21 - initially set up with Smart Switch to transfer over data from old Samsung phone. 

I noticed apps like Facebook and the Messages/Texting app kept crashing upon trying to open.

Tried to check for software updates, checked for application updates, checked the applications settings & device optimization as recommended in other community posts

Backed up my info, factory reset the phone, the only info I transferred was contacts from my Samsung account & the issue is still happening.

All apps up to date, all software is up to date. Anyone else receiving these consistent issues? Could this possibly be my device & may need a replacement?

Mainly posting here to get the word out & see if this a bug that Samsung needs to push a fix for in a new patch. 

Other than these issues, the S21 has been working smoothly & accurately. Will report back with any additional issues.

I had a similar problem on my Samsung Z Fold 2 I had to Clear Cache by 1: powering off phone 2: at the same time hit the power and down volume button you be in menu. 3: used the down volume button till you get clear cache 4: then hit the power button to clear cache. 5 hit power button again to except. I'm not sure if your phone is setup like the Z Fold but it's worth a try

Doesn't matter what I'm in, Facebook,  Google,  email,  it shuts down constantly and flips to my home screen. Hate this phone!

where are your fingers placed while holding your phone.. ? the bottom of the phone seems to be quite sensitive as are the sides... so by allowing your fingers to touch/ rest on the glass.. might be causing this..

I finally got my case and no more issues !

doesn't matter I had my phone on the table and iheart radio was constantly crashing
