When using One UI (V12.1.07.33) as launcher with all the apps on homescreen, you can swipe to "search from home".

Although this opens the "finder" app, the keyboard doesn't open by default. One has to tap on the search bar at the top of the screen to bring up the keyboard. This is a redundant second step and a very bad user experience.

When one swipes down to search, it is obvious that the next step would be to type. Why should one tap the search box again to open the keyboard? Why doesn't the keyboard open by default?

How can Samsung release such half baked home screen without putting proper thought on overall user experience?

Also, there is no way to sort apps alphabetically when using all apps on the homescreen.

isn't this because of all the suggested apps and settings? instead of typing and searching, it's easier/faster for you to select apps and settings
