Keyboard fubar, last update

After the last update, which sends to be a common theme, the keyboard no longer displays the text options in the key. 

Eg the m key used to have a question mark as the alternative entry. That has gone away. 

Anyone know how to get this keyboard back m

1. Open phone settings
2. Click General management
3. Click on Samsung Keyboard settings
4. Click on Layout
5. Click on Alternative characters
