Lock screen setting to wait for swipe is not being respected

The setting in biometrics to stay on the lock screen until swiped after being unlocled, is not working. After the 5.1 update, the phone always bypasses the lock screen. 

I have tried restarting my device a few times as well as toggling the feature switch. Turning off face lock and smart lock is the only workaround I've found.

Unlocked S22 Ultra no issues here I don't use this feature I like my phone to open without having to swipe but I turned it on just to see and works as it should for me

Smart lock might be the reason here.... since your phone never really locks

It worked perfectly with smart lock previously. I only use the on body detection feature.

I have not been able to find a solution to this yet. The screen still unlocks immediately after my face is verified. Whether the setting is on or not.
