Media Output notification won't go away

I've tried deleting Spotify and reinstalling it and this notification keeps reappearing in my tray after I've dimissed it. I can't get it to go away. I'm not even listening to Spotify right now! The app is closed. Why does this continue to appear there?

Turn off the Notification Category for Spotty that shows it

Pull down the Quick Access menu from the top all the way.
Tap the More icon (three vertical dots)
Tap Quick Panal Layout
Tap Device Control and Media Buttons

That is already set to "Don't Show"

I get this with my Bible app. Drives me nuts. I ended up wiping app data and that seems to fix it for a while. Until I play audio from within the app. Spotify is all audio so that would be crazy to wipe data each time. Even force closing the app, the notification would appear again on its own. 😡

Yes, wiping the app data is the only thing that fixes it for a while until I happen to listen to Spotify again. Then the notification comes back over and over. It is frustrating

Figured it out finally.

1. Go to App Notification Settings
2. Select All Apps
3. Search for Media and Devices
4. Change Alerts --> Deliver Quietly

So far this seems to remove it at all times (even when I'm listening to Spotify). I would prefer to never see it rather than always see it. Thank you!
