Messages app changed after latest Android update

My Messages App, after an Android 13 (UI 5.1) update, is now spread out instead of being condensed. The TimeStamp is now appearing. I cannot find a way to turn it off. Is there any way to revert/change back before the update? Thanks!

Do u like using samsung msg ? I have the google msg just for the RCS since samsung msg dont supports it

I can pinch the actual message but can't pinch the home page of the messages where all my texts are.

Same here. This last android update, May 2023, changed text message viewing to an annoying screen showing some of message content of each message. I Hate it. I only want to see the message content when I Open a Text Msg.!!! I have been unable to change it back to how it was like that before the Android update. I have tried lots of things.

If you have Google Messages by now in the S21 it might be in the One UI skin/look and you can have the Samsung look and have more features with RCS messaging. Try it it's so much better than Samsung Messages
