Galaxy S21
So ever since December, any time I receive a One UI update, I lose my mobile connection. I can't text, use data, or make phone calls. If I randomly hard boot my phone, the connection is re-established. However, this time I think it is broke for good as I have been randomly rebooting for two days with no luck. Also tried several other recommended troubleshooting steps that didn't work. I also tried installing a new eSim, no luck there either. What can I do to get these updates to stop breaking my mobile connection? I have Mint Mobile sending me a physical Sim card, but is this my best option without having to buy a new phone? Idk....

Hi, I was getting 5G coverage and the coverage has been good the whole time I have been with Mint, which is about a year. This just started happening in the past few months. I've reset network settings multiple times. I tried to downgrade off of 5G, but my phone says I can't change network mode. I think the latest update corrupted my eSim software in my phone or something. I have a physical sim card being shipped from Mint that should arrive on Monday. I expect that will fix my issue. I think another part was that I brought my phone over from US Cellular. My phone is unlocked, but wondering if Samsung still has my IEMI number registered with US Cellular and so, somehow, the updates are converting my phone back to US Cellular as replacing the Mint eSim doesn't help.

After days of troubleshooting, it was determined that the last OneUI update corrupted the radio firmware in my phone and the modem firmware is not responding. Thanks Samsung. You just lost a customer, although lowly little me will never impact your market share of the industry. Nevertheless, I will NEVER be a Samsung user EVER again. Goodbye! Good riddance!!!!
