Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue started 2 weeks ago. First it started as phone doesn’t charge all the time under charging and its popping charging sign on the screen more and more often.

After one week i have cleaned charging port with soft tissue and a bit of ipa alcohol, not sure if it was next symptom caused there or before, but it manifested as phone instantly turns off as soon as i plug into charger ( when plugged into charger with no power then it remail on, i have tested that).

Those rare moments when it remail on and receive charging it happen even that as soon as i touch screen, or press locking button so screen turns on, phone dies same second.

I have read and decided to challenge my skills so i have ordered new charging port which has arrived yesterday. I have replaced it exactly as i have seen on youtube how majority does. Replacement went fine i would say but result was not as expected.

First issue was that sim card was not readable anymore, so instead of pulling apart phone again i placed sim card in slot 2 and it worked luckily.
But charging was even worse than before, now literally its turning off every time and after 2 hours of effort i have managed to charge barely 20%.

I would appreciate so much any help and support.

Thanks in advance
Alex

Hi Alex, thank you for reaching out and welcome to the Community. I am very sorry to hear about this experience with charging your S21, and even after replacing the charging port yourself. The best course of action would be to get a certified technician to evaluate the device, but there is also the option of using Samsung's official self-repair option: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/self-repair/

If you wish to go the route of service and evaluation, for service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options: 1. Facebook Messenger: http://m.me/samsungsupport 2. Twitter: https://twitter.com/messages/compose?recipient_id=18768513- 3. Private Message: https://bit.ly/3hzZfw8 If the PM link is not working for you, you can click on my name and send me a private message directly from my profile.

For service outside of the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Please be aware that self-repairs done without official means, tools, parts, kits, etc., can be determined and detected by the certified technicians, and may mean your device wouldn't be covered under warranty. This would mean if you had it done with third-party parts, for example, and the official Samsung Self-Repair was not used, you could bear the entire cost of the repair.
