Pocket Dialing 911 Android 13

After updating to Android 13, my phone repeatedly dials emergency services. Since both previous posts about this have seemingly been locked without adequate solutions, I am bringing it back up.

Failed solution 1: Enable accidental touch. Nope, that is already enabled, it is still happening.

Failed solution 2: Disable double-tap to turn on screen. That doesn't solve the problem, it simply breaks another functionality to avoid fixing the problem. I use the double-tap feature while driving to control audio without unlocking the phone (The irony being I have to do this because Spotify eliminated Car mode in favor of "Car Thing", which doesn't work. It would seem tech is generally in a state of fixing things that aren't broken and thus breaking them).

It would be great if Samsung could actually take responsibility for a flaw in the UI redesign (non-functional accidental touch protection), and work on a fix. Particularly since this is entirely redundant. The Emergency SOS feature can be triggered by pressing the side button 5 times. There is no reason for a Emergency call button to appear on the screen when your pocket swipes up.

This happens to me a lot while exercising, it opens emergency contacts and sometimes dials them. accidental touch protection works but it disabled it self to easily so then the screen is always on in my pocket and clicking on things and draining my battery and occasionally dialing 911. This needs to be fixed it!

Not a problem for me, though.Screenshot_20230315_195218_Settings_1000014882_1678935138.png
