Samsung, your predictive text makes a critical assumption that makes it impossible to be right in certain circumstances. If you type the whole word correctly but mistyped the furst letter it will only give you words starting with that wrong letter. Foe example i was typing heading and instead typed geading and grading, gearing and gelding were the suggestions. Its just a little pet peeve. Thank you.
I agree with you on text correction suggestions for sure. However, I'm not certain the problem is isolated to Samsung keyboard (since I'm currently using Gboard). If you incidentally hit a number in lieu of the first letter, botched the first letter of the word, or missed an appropriate space creating a run on word it appears the system is super unintelligent. Instead of being able to figure that out and offer appropriate suggestions (even if the vast majority of the word or structure is correct), it will make suggestions with the incorrect first letter or run on word and that should change.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of users haven't been given the blessing of being imbued with the skill of possessing first letter certainty while drafting electronic communications.
As such, the greater opportunity that exists for developers to improve their product lies with those users that are imperfect and occasionally misspell, miss a space, or insert an erroneous number. I'll be honest and admit that I too have this challenge and see an opportunity for improvement instead of creating a "useless" I'm perfect comment. The hope is the right person sees the opportunity and forwards it to those with the power, tools, and resources to do something about it.
It's not very smart or good at predicting what want to say. More times than I care for, I have to speak the word because it doesn't even understand some works that I've spelled correctly. I was told "it's a learning keyboard"... I've had this phone for nearly 3 months and its getting a D in figuring my speech patters and vocabulary. This needs a huge update and soon. Its pretty annoying.
